The Spellbinders Wizard

This is a very innovative machine. It can emboss ANY stencil with the Brass Stencil Embossing Kit (sold separately). Run your stencil through the Wizard with any cardstock, foils, velvet paper, etc. and your design is dry embossed! This is perfect for those intricate designs that used to take a long time to emboss with your stylus. It can also emboss AND cut designs from their own line of dies. Run it through the machine the first time to emboss. Then flip over the die and run it through the machine again to cut the designs that you just embossed! Read on to find answers to other questions you might have... QUESTION: Can I use my other dies in this new system? ANSWER: Yes ,with the universal cut mat kit (sold separately) you may use your existing consumer dies with this system. So, those of you who already own the Sizzix machine, those dies will work in the Wizard. QUESTION: How much does the wizard weigh? ANSWER: The Wizard is under five pounds! They made it lightweight so you to take it along to your favorite events. QUESTION: I understand the Wizard can emboss charms, is this true? ANSWER: YES! With the Wizard brass stencil kit you can emboss various findings, flat metal charms, fabric patches ribbon, and polymer clay shapes into foils, cardstock, velvet paper ,vellum and more. I saw this demonstrated in class. If you have a charm or finding that you like, you can run it through the Wizard with foil (or paper of your choice) and then you'll have another charm that looks just like the original. Make as many copies as you like. Now you don't have to worry about using up your favorite charms/findings because you can make others like it (not exactly, of course, but you'll be able to duplicate the design). Very cool! QUESTION: Do they have their own line of dies? ANSWER: YES! They have a line of GEMINI DIES which EMBOSS on one side and cut on the other. They currently have six fonts, two of which will be released in Late March. They have approximately 50 dies which will be released in late May. QUESTION: What is included with the Wizard? ANSWER: The system includes the Wizard, white master cut mat, a black cut mat,a blue cut mat along with a polymer pad for embossing, the star/moon Gemini Die and a starter pack of foils.
